CMS
( 2 items )
A content management system (or CMS) is a system used
to organise and facilitate collaborative digital content creation.
Recently, the term has been associated with programs for managing the
content of web sites. Web content management (WCM) is also used to
refer to these programs.
To put this in friendlier, not so
"techy" terminology, most people call something a cms when it is a web
site that is controlled, updated and edited by someone not using HTML
or some other coding language to create, add, edit and update web pages
of the site. This could include images, headings, menus and as much as
the original programmer could think up and put into action.
We
at Objective A-Development not only spend endless hours of weeding
through these systems looking for the best ones, we also use them for
our web sites. We not only install and use these, we also spend time
tweaking them and making them better (sticking to tight pre-established
operations and standards in our modifications that is scalable for
future coders to work on as well as for the purpose of growth of the
system.) Heck, we even write our own from time to time when needed.
We will do our best to provide guidance and point you in the direction
of the CMS solution that best fits your need and future needs, and if
need be install, configure and create the perfect CMS solution for
you.

CRM
( 1 items )
Many people will tell you that "CRM" is a philosophy not a set, agreed
upon, standard definable system. We agree. However, we study the
philosophy and try and build and use CRM systems that we can recommend
or redistribute in good conscience. When trying to explain what a
Client Relationship Management System is or should be, literally
thousands of variables and opinions can come into play. We'll try and
give you a round about explanation of what a CRM is... or should be.
- Tracking engagements with customers and maintaining current and quite possibly past information.
- Being able to identify your customers and serve up appropriate product(s) to suit their needs.
-
It should recognize and appreciate business and loyalty, it should
establish a personal relationship with the customer(s) making
transactions.

Officially: an e-Commerce system is conducting of business
communication and transactions over networks and through computers. As
most restrictively defined, electronic commerce is the buying and
selling of goods and services, and the transfer of funds, through
digital communications. However it also includes all inter-company and
intra-company functions (such as marketing, finance, manufacturing,
selling, and negotiation) that enable commerce and use electronic mail,
EDI, file transfer, fax, video conferencing, workflow, or interaction
with a remote computer.
Electronic commerce also includes buying and selling over the
World-Wide Web and the Internet, electronic funds transfer, smart
cards, digital cash and all other ways of doing business over digital
networks.
